Working in Partnership

Please see below a document which details the communication systems we use at Freshfield to share information with parents.

Here at Freshfield, we work hard to mantain strong links with parents and carers. You will find us open, friendly and welcoming. Parents are kept well informed about the school via regular newsletters and website updates. We hold several events to share ideas about key curriculum areas. Other popular courses have included ‘Positive Parenting’ and ‘Living with a child who is a faddy eater!’. We also enjoy strong links with our colleagues in different agencies such as the Primary Health Care trust and the Ethnic Diversity service.

We communicate with parents in person, by phone, email and via our parent communication software’ Iris Parentmail’.  Minor accidents are communicated via our ‘Medical Tracker’ software.  We use the ‘Tapestry’ app to share photos and videos of the children’s activities in nursery with parents.  Parents can also upload activities at home via ‘Tapestry’ to share with school.

We arrange several ‘stay and play’ sessions throughout the year, where parents can visit and see the activities on offer at Freshfield and spend some time in nursery with their children.
